What makes Genuine Ice Cream special?
Genuine Ice Cream handcrafts small batch ice creams using only the highest quality ingredients and a whole ton of love in each pint. We do not use any artificial ingredients or colors. Our ice cream is considered a super premium ice cream, meaning that we have a higher milk fat content. This milk fat is what provides the ultra creamy texture that we all love. Being based out of Bozeman, MT is something that we hold close to our hearts. Our flavors are inspired by the Montana lifestyle and scenery. Even if you are not from Montana, you can pick up subtle notes on our packaging that are sure to leave you planning a trip to come visit. Buying Genuine Ice Cream also gives back to the community, as we are a 2% for Conservation certified business.
Where can I see a list of what flavors you currently have?
We do not post our flavors anywhere due to the way we rotate them. We hold 20 flavors at a time at our shop.* We have six standard flavors that you can expect each time you come in. These flavors are Vanilla, Chocolate, Milk & Cookies, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, and a dairy-free sorbet. The other 14 flavors rotate almost daily. You could come in at one time, then come back an hour later and our menu could look totally different. We pull from roughly 65 flavors for our rotating flavors to keep you on your toes and trying something new each time you come in! * Please note: due to a redevelopment project, our retail space is temporarily closed until we find a new location. Stay tuned!
Do you have any dairy-free options?
Yes! We have a delicious dairy free ice cream made from coconut milk. Our dairy free ice cream is available in coconut and blackberry! We also offer a variety of vegan fruit sorbets.

We do everything we can to avoid cross contamination but we do not have an allergen free kitchen. We make products containing milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, gluten and soy in our production kitchen.
How long after I open a pint is the ice cream still good to eat?
We recommend enjoying your pint within two weeks of opening it. To keep your ice cream as fresh as possible, we also recommend placing a small sheet of wax paper or plastic wrap against the ice cream to prevent any frost from growing.
Do you use stabilizers in your ice cream?
Yes. All of our stabilizers are plant based and used sparingly to keep that creamy texture we all love. Guar gum is a vegetable gum from a legume called guar beans. Locust bean gum comes from the seeds of the carob plant. Carrageenan is extracted from red edible seaweeds.

What does it mean to be 2% for Conservation certified?
